FLS Tutors covers all aspects of test preparation including content and strategy. Our tutors are trained to have a comprehensive understanding of all parts, content, and time allotted for every test that they prepare students for. Our test-taking strategies and practice sessions have been proven to decrease the anxiety around test-taking ensuring better performance and scores.
ISEE/HSPT and SSAT for Independent Schools
FLS Tutors offers a tailored program to give students who are applying for independent school entrance the best chance at admission. For students taking the HSPT, ISEE, or SSAT as part of the admissions process, the right preparation can make all the difference.
Our program has been carefully designed to achieve the following:
- Teach students various test-taking strategies
- Administer a simulated test for students to build their confidence and practice their test-taking strategies thus reducing any potential anxieties around test-taking that could hinder performance
- Build students’ confidence with the information in a controlled environment
- Identify, address, and close any knowledge gaps in content that would typically appear on the tests through review and exercise
- Review concepts previously taught in school or introduce new concepts which generally appear on the tests
- Coach students for the interview experience and process, if they are applying to schools that require one as part of the admission process.
SAT/ACT
We’ll discuss your and your child’s college preferences and based on our diagnostic assessment, determine which test to pursue. Then, our tutors will administer a training strategy based on the chosen test along with your child’s needs, strengths, and weaknesses.

TOEFL
For non-native English speakers, the TOEFL is often a requirement for admission into a US-based university. It can be quite a rigorous test of English speaking, writing, listening and reading ability. As with the other tests, the strict time limits and anxiety can be a major area of concern.
