FAQ

FLS Tutors has centers located on both coasts. We are able to service Greater Los Angeles and the greater Los Angeles area, NYC, Philadelphia and the greater Philadelphia area, Boston and the greater Boston area, and Connecticut for in-person instruction, and we offer online tutoring for families throughout the United States.

One-on-one tutoring differs from classroom instruction because your tutor is able to focus specifically on your child, tailoring pacing, and instruction to their specific needs and interests. Tutoring provides a valuable supplement to standard instruction for students at all levels, whether they are struggling or getting ahead!

Our tutors are highly qualified. They all have a bachelor’s degree and a vast majority have a master’s degree and Ph.D. with years of experience tutoring and or teaching. All of our tutors undergo a rigorous background check as part of the application process.

Yes, absolutely.  This platform allows students to see and hear the teacher and each other as if they were in an actual physical classroom.  In terms of communicative learning, the platform allows teachers to work with small groups so that the teacher can interact with each student individually.

We have qualified tutors for all subjects and levels, including academic subjects, test preparation for high school and university admission, study skills, foreign languages, and more!

In order to ensure a custom, personalized experience for every student, we cap our workshops at six students per teacher.

After registration, students are sent detailed instructions by email with instructions on their initial online placement test (if necessary) and instructions on joining the appropriate class or meeting with their tutor.  Students can attend on a laptop, a tablet, or even a cell phone!
